Support for the Sajevic's
Donation protected

Earlier today a dear friend of mine, Teresa Sajevic, told me news that every mother dreads: one of her babies was in a terrible accident. Her little girl, Rose, was hit by a FedEx truck while riding her bike. Rose was life-flighted from their hometown in Hibbing, Minnesota to Duluth Minnesota with many serious injuries, but she is alive and for that we are all thankful.
Sam is the sole-earner in his family and is currently laid off from his job due to COVID-19, and finances are a bit tight for them right now. They are going to need help with gas, food, medical expenses, etc. We are asking anyone who can to donate to help them out - no amount is too big or too small!! If you aren't able to financially contribute, please share this fundraiser - and prayers for Rose's recovery and for healing are always welcome!
Thank you in advance!
9/5/2020 Update:
You are all amazing. When I first asked for support for the Sajevic family, we raised over $21,000 for this sweet family and that is AWESOME!!!
Sadly, I need to ask for more help for this family.
Teresa shared with me some of their financial struggles. The ambulance ride was $14K. The helicopter ride from Hibbing to Duluth, was $37k. One of Rose's surgeries on her left leg was $97K. There have been three more surgeries since, and there are more surgeries to come, as well as the specialty referrals for a GI and PEDS urologist.
Today Teresa shared with me that they now have over $200k in medical bills, and their insurance company isn't paying anything, nor is Fed Ex (although they do have an attorney and are seeking compensation, which could take years). They are setting up payment plans and are doing what they can until things are settled. Her husband, Sam, cashed out his 401k and took a loan against his life insurance to help make ends meet. They are also thinking about trying to sell his van for extra money, meaning they would be down to one vehicle.
Friends, if you have it in your heart and in your budget to help this family out, it would be much appreciated. Any amount is helpful!! If you do not have it in the budget, please share the link. Good vibes and prayers are always appreciated as well.
Thank you all for being so generous!!
