One week ago today, on May 20th, 2020, the Spiegel family received the worst news anyone could possibly hear: their 21 year old son Jonah unexpectedly passed away.
Jonah is survived by his mother Sarah Spiegel; father Jeremy Spiegel; sisters, Summer and Maya Spiegel; and grandparents, Paul and Mary Savidge. However, this doesn’t even begin to describe the amount of lives he touched in a life that was just beginning.
Jonah was loved by seemingly everyone he came into contact with. His truly larger than life persona, positive spirit, contagious smile, unparalleled sense of humor, and dedication to constantly being the best he could be, will dearly be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jonah was enrolled at the University of Southern California, where he was studying Economics and Mathematics and set to start his senior year in the fall of 2020. He was a proud member of the TKE fraternity, where he thrived socially, academically, and in all other aspects of life. He attended Falmouth High School, and graduated in the class of 2017 as a standout scholar, athlete, and friend to all.
Jonah was immensely important to so many people here in Falmouth and the Cumberland County area, as well as his many loving friends and girlfriend out at USC. He meant so very much to a lot of people, but none more than his family. Jonah’s favorite nights were spent on his back-porch with his mom and two sisters, who he truly saw as his best friends on earth.
Some of Jonah's closest friends and I decided to set up this platform to support the Spiegel family during this time. Our goal is to raise as much money as possible so that the family can focus on grieving and moving forward and not on the financial burden that they face while putting together memorial services and other things for Jonah.
