Support for the Thatcher Family

Hi, my name is Jo Colliton, and I am doing this fundraiser on behalf of my brother-in-law, sister, and their son. Fred and Michele have been together for 20 years and have a 6 year old son named, Mac, who is the light of their life. Fred is a RPSGT (Sleep tech) and Michele is a 2nd grade teacher. They live in Pataskala with Fred's mother, Loretta, and pets Lucy (golden retriever) and Obi (cat).

Fred was recently diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy at 37. He had been battling what the doctors thought was an infection for several months. When his symptoms continued progressing, he was taken to Riverside Methodist hospital, where he was admitted and stabilized for five days. They were able to diagnose him and start treatment, but Fred's heart was only functioning at 15%. He is now under the care of the Cardiac Disease and Transplant team at Riverside, and we are so grateful for them and their expertise.

Fred has been off work for approaching four weeks and will require additional time off to allow his heart to rest. The doctors have shared how important this time is to rest and allow the medications to help improve his heart function.

With this extended period of time off, any help with medical bills, groceries, utilities, etc. would be greatly appreciated. This is an unprecedented situation that neither of them could anticipate. I have had several different people reach out asking if they could help which is why I encouraged them to allow us to start this Go Fund Me.
