Support for the Warden Family:
Donation protected
Dawn Warden has lived in the community of Airdrie for 37 years with her son, Kyle. On the night of Sunday June 9th their lives changed forever when a man, known to the family, entered Dawn’s home and assaulted her, Dawn was rushed to the emergency department in critical condition. This man also started a fire in Dawn’s home.
After 8 hours in surgery and over 150 staples holding her together Dawn’s status was upgraded to stable; her injuries are life-altering. Dawn now faces a long road to recovery and is not able to work; it is unknown what the long term extent of her injuries will be. The fire has swallowed most of their possessions.
An attack that lasted minutes has changed their lives forever. Kyle has recently graduated from Bert Church High School just this past week. He aspires to attend CDI College for Web and App development. Dawn is determined, and a fighter - she has a strong desire to live.
This family has suffered a devastating tragedy and needs your help. We place no expectations on the donation amounts; give a little or a lot. The money will not return Dawn’s full state of health but it might provide opportunities for her and Kyle and allow them to focus on healing from this trauma.
Your love, prayers and financial support will be put to immediate use. Life is precious - let’s do everything we can to help this little family in a time of crisis.
Your donations will be managed by Dawn’s mother, Jeanette.
