Support for the Whitney Family
Eastlake family and friends,
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Randy Whitney. Randy joined our Eastlake Little League family in the Fall of 2018 along with his wife Ana and his two sons Christian “Chango” and Matthew. He served our league as a Manager in Minor A, Majors and also as a Board member. Most recently he led his Majors Diamondbacks team to a division championship this past Spring. He was also the driving force as the 12U All Star Manager team this summer. His Gung Ho, Mamba pump up mentality took the players and families on an amazing run. His dream was making it to Williamsport.
Randy’s bright smile and charisma will always be remembered on these fields. Along with his “Let’s get it” and “Why not” mantras. His love of the game and his ability to get the best out of kids was unmatched.
A GoFund me page has been established to help the family with expenses. Let us unite as a baseball community to take care of one of our own. All proceeds will go directly to the benefit of Ana Vergara, Christian and Matthew Whitney.
