Support for the Whitt Family after Tragic Loss

Donation protected
Michael was involved in a terrible multi-vehicle car accident on his way home from work Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Michael had a broken neck, broken ribs, a crushed torso, a broken right collar bone, several facial bone breaks, his right arm was crushed with every bone in it broken, and a broken neck. Tragically, due to the neck break, he didn’t survive the accident.

Michael wasn’t home at his normal time that evening, which was unusual, so his wife called his phone repetitively with no answer. She looked on social media and saw posts that traffic had been redirected. Concerned, she opened the Life360 location app to see where he was - which was the exact same area where traffic was being redirected. She called her husband 5 more times, with no answer and left immediately. Upon arrival at the accident, the local authorities told her she had to wait for additional authorities to arrive. Fifty-seven daunting minutes later, still not having seen her husband, she was told that he was deceased.

Michael left behind his wife Stacy and their children, Britt (20), Houston (17), Alton (15), Pae (21 months) & his granddaughter Lae (16 months). He and Stacy both worked to provide for their family. Since this sudden, tragic loss, Stacy has lost her job due to attending to Lae, who is highly autistic. Being special needs, Lae is severely suffering from adjustment trauma in a way that is different from everyone else's pain & suffering.

Nothing will replace the loss of this families beloved husband and father. They are all each other have now and the adjustment ahead is going to be quite a difficult one. They are getting counseling to learn to process and cope with their grief during this challenging time. Michael was only 45 years old and unfortunately, he did not have a life insurance policy. Michael was the primary provider for his family and this fund will provide a form of relief for this family during this non-comprehensive time of sorrow by paying the bills that aren’t going away, the fuel for going to and from their appointments, diapers and baby needs, as well as all of the day-to-day necessities that they need to survive. Please consider helping this devasted family. If you are able, please make a donation to assist with the financial burden of this loss. Any amount will be greatly appreciated, and so will the prayers sent their way.
