Support for Trieva Silver's Family

On August 13, 2024, Trieva Silver, a beloved wife, mother, sister, friend, coworker and occupational therapist gave a gift of honor and life as she selflessly donated her organs to help others live. Trieva, an admired, kind -hearted occupational therapist by all of the families and children she served and an integral member of Venture Rehab Group's clinical team suffered a heart attack and was found unresponsive by her husband on Thursday, August 1st. She was airlifted to Novant in Wilmington where she never gained consciousness. Her husband, Michael, and two sons, Destry and Declan have lovingly remained by her side praying for a miracle. Trieva’s death came when the family was undergoing a transition and money is needed for her funeral expenses and for the expenses associated with her illness. All money raised from this GoFundMe will go directly to Trieva's family in an effort to alleviate some of their financial burdens during this incredibly difficult time.
During her time as an occupational therapist, Trieva has helped countless children across Onslow and New Hanover counties to acquire functional sensory, motor and daily living skills. This was loved among her many. You only need to talk to one patient’s family who Trieva served to know their vast love and admiration for her. As one patients parent stated, “Trieva has changed our lives. She is like a part of the family” and another stated “She got my daughter started on everything. She was a life saver.” Kirsten Cooper, her friend, has similar sentiments. “Trieva is one of my very best friends. She is the most selfless person I have ever met. She puts everybody’s needs before her own and she always goes above and beyond for every single person. Every single plan that she has is extra ordinary and she always takes on so much and never lets anyone believe that is overwhelming. She has the biggest faith I have ever seen in a human being. She is the true definition of a sister without their being any kind of blood connection. She wears so many hats and I honestly always wonder how she’s able to do that and then the Lord always tells me that it is him shining through. She is an incredible person.” Her minister said “Trieva was the best church member I have ever had. She was the epitome of faithfulness” Indeed, she selflessly served others faithfully and was loved by all of her patients, family and friends. We were honored to know Trieva.
The family would appreciate any donation during this difficult and sad time. Please feel free to share.
Matthew 25:23 “His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your master.”
