Support for Tristan Massey

On Thanksgiving November 28, 2019, 17-year-old Tristan Massey was severely injured in an automobile accident. He was airlifted from the scene to the I.C.U. at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

Tristan suffered multiple injuries, the most critical of which he experienced is a traumatic brain injury. He is currently in a medically induced coma, giving his brain some time to try and repair itself. Additionally, his injuries include a broken collarbone, broken nose, and a bruised lung among other various cuts and bruises.

To know Tristan is to love him. Tristan is an outgoing, super friendly, funny, witty, and charismatic young man. He is always willing to help someone in need. A hard worker, he aspires to be a crane operator or machinist after he graduates from high school this spring. He loves motocross, diesel trucks, working on cars and bikes, and the great state of Indiana. Above all, Tristan loves his family and friends. He is a beloved son and the oldest brother of six siblings, as well as a cherished grandson, nephew, and a friend to many.

The long road ahead for the Massey family will be a difficult path as they navigate Tristan’s health and recovery. Our objective is to help offset medical expenses with a fundraising effort. Please consider donating to Tristan's family in an attempt to relieve some of the financial burden that these medical expenses will surely place on the family as they focus on providing Tristan the care he requires, but more importantly, deserves. Donations will also serve to offset the out-of-pocket costs of travel on Tristan’s parents, Ryan and Beth, as they commute between their children in Valparaiso and Tristan in South Bend.
