Support for Trooper Lewis Johnson & Family

Montana State Trooper Lewis Johnson was severely injured on Thursday, February 16, 2023, after being run over by a fleeing felon with a warrant. Injuries sustained include a punctured lung, damaged liver, head injury, broken ribs, broken arm, broken leg and severe spinal trauma. Doctors anticipate recovery to be long and difficult. This fundraising page has been created for Lewis and his family to help support them with the enormous expenses associated with his recovery.

While the road to recovery will be long, it's nothing Lewis and his family can't handle together with our love and support. Please help us fundraise so they can devote their time and energy where it belongs, his health.

A little about Trooper Lewis Johnson

Born in 1987, Lewis grew up in Chester, Montana. In 2014 Lewis and his wife Kate graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy committing to serve and protect the citizens of Montana. Lewis is a Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) volunteer and an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting and fishing. Lewis and his wife Kate are both State Troopers currently stationed in Eureka, MT. He is a devoted husband, a loving father and an exceptional friend. It only takes a few minutes with Lewis before he has you laughing and knowing you have a true friend for life.

We will provide updates as often as possible while this situation develops.

The Johnson family is overwhelmed by the support and love pouring in from everyone near and far, no words can truly express our gratitude.

Due to the unwavering support and overwhelming generosity of our friends, families, community and strangers from around the world we have shattered our original goal of $50,000!

Thank you to those who have prayed, sent notes of encouragement, donated money and shared Trooper Johnson’s story. 

Considering the long-term care that will be required for Trooper Johnson’s recovery, we have increased the fundraising goals. It is our hope, that we can completely relieve the burden of finances on the Johnson family, so they can solely focus on recovery.

Thank you all for your support during this difficult time. It is incredibly heartwarming to have. There have been many reaching out who would like to set up fundraising events for Lewis, Kate and Ryder. We apologize if we have not gotten back to you if you have reached out. We are trying to manage a lot of new and difficult matters.

We are so thankful to everyone for the prayers, love and support. Lewis Johnson is an amazing person and Kate Johnson is the best person I know. I know with our support they will make this horrible situation into something extremely positive that we will all be able to be very proud of.
