Support for Truck Driver's Recovery and Family

Donation protected
On Thursday, August 8th, 2024, around 8:30pm, my husband was shot in the face while driving his Semi Truck. He was headed East on 32nd Ave close to Bowdish Rd. in Spokane Valley, WA.

When he called me, he had no idea what hit him. He was absolutely frantic as he had lost total vision in his left eye. He called 911 and eventually, EMS made it to him.

Once EMS had him in their care, they were able to contact me and let me know he was shot by a paintball gun. The semi truck has clear evidence of that as well.

I was absolutely terrified and a complete wreck trying to situate my three small children so I could get to my husband as fast as possible.

He had vision tests and eye scans done at Sacred Heart. His eye may have permanent damage, had it been any worse he would have required emergency surgery.

We now have to follow up with many eye appointments and have been advised that he won’t be able to drive for quite some time.

My husband's job is being a truck driver. Not only is he physically injured, but he is now unable to work. He is our family's sole provider and now due to this incident, our family is financially devastated. Any help is graciously appreciated.

We thank our community for the outpouring of prayer and well wishes.
