LUX-UAid support campaign for Ukrainian people
Donation protected
My name is Lilia. I'm a Ukrainian living in Luxembourg and had to emergency evacuate my family from Kharkiv, due to the outrageous acts of Russian aggression over the whole territory of Ukraine.
Luckily, my partner Michel and I managed together to get my mom, dad and grandma to the Slovak border. We then made a 3000 km journey with the car within 48 hours to pick them up on the Slovak side and bring them to Luxembourg. Other means of transport were out of the question, as they do not speak any foreign languages and as my grandmother is nearly blind.
Arriving with just a very few belongings, we realised the true meaning of the word "refugee", as they had to leave everything behind and now lack most basic things.
We are extremely lucky to have the unwavering support of our family and friends, and we would like to help other people who may not have such support, both refugees arriving in Luxembourg and their families and friends left in Ukraine.
We call upon the generosity of the Luxembourgish people and our international community to contribute to the LUX-UAid campaign.
We will keep contributors apprised of the use made of the funds via updates on this page.
Thanks for your support.
Lilia and Michel
