Support Lydia and Andrey's family in Kyiv, Ukraine
Donation protected
My mother and I are raising money for my mother's aunt, Александра Дорофий, and her neighbors living in her building, ул Пражская 3, Киев, who are unable to evacuate Kyiv, Ukraine.
There is an ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Millions of people find themselves trapped in an increasingly-dangerous warzone as Ukrainian cities and villages are bombarded by Russian forces.
There is an ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Millions of people find themselves trapped in an increasingly-dangerous warzone as Ukrainian cities and villages are bombarded by Russian forces.
While many people are attempting to escape and find refuge in neighboring nations, many others are unable to do so. These people are often elderly, dependent on specific medical facilities in their cities, and otherwise unable to leave.
They are finding it difficult to obtain basic necessities such as food and medicine. These items are becoming more scarce, expensive, and difficult to obtain by ordinary people of modest means.
Elderly people, who were dependent on these basic necessities close to home, find it especially difficult to obtain these items due to their scarcity and the danger associated with leaving their shelters.
While there is NGO humanitarian help in Kyiv, it is concentrated in the center of the city, and many of those in the outer part of the city are unable to get access to these goods.
They require the help of able-bodied people to search for and obtain these basic necessities further from their homes, as well as support due to the increased prices of all goods.
This is a targeted fundraiser specifically for my great aunt, Александра Дорофий, and her neighbors living in her building, ул Пражская 3, Киев, who are unable to evacuate, and require financial and physical support to weather the humanitarian storm in their besieged city.
The money will be used to purchase required food and medicine, and to pay for the services of more able-bodied people to search out these necessities (often only available in further parts of the city) and deliver them to those in need during this humanitarian crisis.
