Support for Valerie and Family
In June of 2018, as Valerie was finishing her 6th grade year at Aspire CCPA, she became very sick, and was eventually diagnosed with end stage Renal Disease. During that summer her life changed completely. Since then, she has spent three days a week at dialysis, taking daily medications, restricting her diet and liquid intake, and attending countless medical appointments. Valerie still attended school throughout this entire process, showing up with a smile on her face and working hard to stay on top of her assignments. She is incredibly brave and positive - despite the fact that she is dealing with something so intense.
This summer, Valerie will finally be receiving her kidney transplant. Her father will be the donor, so they will go through their recovery process together. Valerie's mom will therefore be taking care of both of them as they heal, as well as taking care of their four year old son.
We ask for your support of the Sanchez family during this difficult time in their lives. No one will be able to work for several months during the recovery phase, and their financial situation had already been affected due to loss of work during the pandemic. The funds will go toward living expenses as well as any other medical expenses that arise at this time.
Thank you all so much for your support - we greatly appreciate anything that you are able to offer.
