Support for Villapando’s During Cancer Treatment

Hi, my name is Amy Grumbein. I’m a long-time family friend of the Villapando’s. Our families shared many years of community and ministry together at a church in the Dallas area.

With the family’s permission, it is with great sadness that I share the news that the breast cancer Amber battled back in 2018 has returned. Amber says it is an aggressive and invasive form of cancer which can spread through her blood; so treatment, which will include chemotherapy and radiation, is needed very quickly. She is currently in Stage 2. She also shared that two of the children have also undergone surgeries in the past few months. This is so much for one family to face, especially all at once.

Although the family does have health insurance, we know that it is still very expensive to cover deductibles and copays, as well as all the day-to-day needs a family has, especially when Mom is not feeling well. Financial help would bless the family tremendously at this time. This support could provide meals, gas, some of the children’s needs, and a number of other unforeseen things that may arise during Amber’s recovery.

Arvin is currently working two jobs to help cover all of their needs. My hope is that all of us who love and care for them can come together to take some of the stress & financial burden off of him so he can be free to focus on more important things. Any amount of help you’re able to contribute will be a blessing. This family has served so many others with their lives. They definitely deserve all the love and support we can give them right now.
