Support for Virginia Carrere's Funeral & Final Expenses

It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news of my Granny’s passing, Virginia “Ginny” Carrere. Losing her has been a shock to our family, and in the midst of our grief, we’re facing some unexpected financial challenges. I’ve created this GoFundMe to help my mom cover funeral and other final expenses.

We want to give Granny the farewell she deserves, a chance for her friends and loved ones to say goodbye. But we weren’t prepared for the costs involved, and my mom; Lindsey, being Ginny’s only child, is carrying this weight alone. On top of the funeral, there are other costs, like clearing out Granny’s home and caring for her beloved dog, who needs full vet care now.

My mom and I spent the last month at Granny’s side in the hospital, resulting in my mom being unable to work. As a real estate agent, she doesn’t get the usual benefits like paid time off or bereavement leave, so we’ve had no income coming in. It’ll be a little while before she can get back to work and back on her feet.
