Support for Walter Muzyk's Funeral Expenses

My name is Diane and Walter was my nephew.

On Monday, August 12th 2024, Walter Muzyk lost his battle with depression. To allow Tim and Jen to grieve the loss of their son, we have set up this gofundme to help with funerals expenses, loss of work and any other expenses along the way.

Anyone who knew Walter knew he had a love for his dogs, cars, building things, fishing and anything outdoorsy. Walter always had a funny jokes and quick comebacks ready to be used at anytime.

This sudden death became a shock to everyone. How does a tragedy like this happen? Walter hid behind smiles, laughter and jokes. The day he passed away, there were no signs. He was happy, chasing groundhogs around, he was planning fishing trips with his dad, talking about his future jobs and educational plans. His depression was hidden.

Depression is an illness.  No different from any other illness that claims the lives of our loved ones.  Do not be ashamed or too prideful to ask for help or to seek treatment. Talk about your mental health struggles. You matter. 

A visitation for Walter will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  A time for sharing and remembering Walter will be offered at 5:00 PM for anyone who would like to share memories.
