Support for Wamuran family of Daguilar Hwy Crash

Wamuran is a tight-knit community and on Monday morning while driving their daughter to school, a local family lost their mother.

At just passed 7am on Monday the 29th of August, on the D'aguilar Highway in Moodlu, the hatchback they were driving was struck by a 4x4 ute, in a head on collision. In the car was a 37 year old mother and her 8 year old daughter.

Heartbreakingly, the mother died at the scene and the daughter suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital where she faced a couple of surgeries and is working towards being released.

It has been requested that the identity of the family be protected, but local support is been offered to the partner and daughter. The pair now face a long journey of recovery and facing the future without their much loved mum.

As a community we want to look at practical support that can be offered to take a bit of the daily stress out of daily life, provide financial support and time, so that the family can focus on their recovery.

We would like to provide financial support to pay for ready made meals (you-foods or similar) for a period of time, fortnightly cleaner as well as some funeral expenses.

Local support has already been offered for yard care and animal care.

I can not imagine the devastation that the family must be feeling and any support that can be given will be greatly appreciated.
