Support for Whitney Murphy's Family

My name is Sara Page and I created this fundraiser for Whitney Murphy's husband, Jim Murphy (Jimmy), and their two children: Lydia and JJ. Donations to this fundraiser will transfer directly into Jim Murphy's bank account.

Whitney Jensen Murphy, age 38, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, ending her battle with cancer.

Someone Whitney and I work with described Whitney perfectly when he lightheartedly told me Whitney was "a force to be reckoned with". This stuck with me for years because she truly was a force to be reckoned with. Honestly, Whitney accomplished every goal I knew about. Although Whitney was younger than me, we joked about how she was like my Life Mentor - she was always there for me when I needed her. But most importantly, over these last nine years, she loved and accepted me - no matter what. Since her passing, I've learned Whitney did this for so many people and I'm immensely moved by their stories.

All who knew Whitney also know Jimmy, Lydia, and JJ were her top priorities. She was Jimmy's best friend & true love, and Lydia's & JJ's number one fan & proud mother. She would do anything within her control for all three.

Jimmy and I are moved by how strongly all who loved Whitney feel about giving to her family, but I'm not surprised. You and I know that's what she'd want us to do. And, besides, most people were unwilling to tell Whitney 'no'. (I want to put a laughing emoji here, but Whitney didn't like emojis within written words - haha.)

Our donations will be used for Whitney's family's living expenses, but also fun things for the kids.

I think all who knew Whitney, know she also wants us to help Lydia and JJ do the fun things she and Jimmy were planning: horseback riding lessons; gymnastics lessons; more trips to the beach; a trip to Disney World, and more.

With this said, I'm hoping we can continue to help make these things happen for the kids as well as help Whitney's family with living expenses in the coming times.
