Support Fran & Tim Smiland After Losing Home to Eaton Fire

Dear Friends and Family,

My family members Fran and Tim Smiland have just lost their home and all of their belongings in Altadena, CA. Their wonderful house, where they have lived for over a decade, is now completely burned down.

All funds raised will be given to Fran and Tim directly so they can fund and secure housing, replace all of their belongings, cover immediate living expenses, and help them to rebuild their home while they also work to rebuild their lives. Your generosity will help them find comfort and stability after this unimaginable loss. To know Fran and Tim is to be deeply blessed by their love, support, and unwavering kindness.

Fran and Tim’s home has been a place of warmth and generosity, hosting countless birthday parties, baby showers, weekly gatherings, and offering a safe space for anyone in need — for as long as needed. Their kindness knows no bounds, and now, we have the opportunity to return that love and care.

If you know Fran and Tim, you know they are extraordinary friends and core members of our community. They have shown up for every important moment in the lives of their friends and family, and now it's our turn to show up for them during this profound loss. While we are devastated, we are committed to ensuring they are supported as they begin the journey of rebuilding — which they can and will do with our help!
