Support for Frank Huie's family
Donation protected
For those of you previously following Frank’s long journey, you know he has transferred from Regency Hospital in the Twin Cities to his new home in Duluth. I wish I could say the journey has been an easy transition, but unfortunately Frank suffered another setback and was back in the hospital for over two weeks.
He is now back home recovering, but as you know has a long way to go. You will also see the target fundraising goal has been increased to $50,000. Unfortunately, there has been a few unanticipated expenses related to Frank’s home health care (insurance currently not covering the cost), the cost related to the physical home improvements to make things like the shower accessible for Frank, and since Frank is back on a ventilator for most of the day, there is a need to install a home generator in the event of a power loss.
For those of you who have donated, thank you very much. Please help reach the new goal by forwarding this to others who may be willing to help out. Thank you.

Frank, Lynell and Cale, want to thank everyone for their generous donations and words of encouragement . The money is going to help offset medical bills and to make their new home accessible.
None of us know what future medical costs lie ahead for Frank. For those individuals who still want to give, or maybe you’re just finding out about the cause now, Frankie’s GoFundMe site is going to remain open for donations for a little bit longer.
Again, thank you so very much for your support, it is greatly appreciated.

The friends of Frank Huie are raising funds to help offset medical and housing expenses related to Frank's health recovery.
Frank was a standout for Denfeld's football team during the late 70's, and coached football, track and girls basketball for nearly 40 years. On January 19, 2023, Frank suffered a stroke and was admitted to St. Mary's hospital in Duluth. The stroke caused paralysis including to his vocal cord which required a tracheostomy. After being in the ICU for a month, Frank was transferred to Regency hospital in Minneapolis.
It's been a long recovery process. Since being admitted, Frank has had many complications and setbacks including multiple bouts of pneumonia and four cardiac arrests. Frank is unable to walk and has limited movement in his arms and hands. Doctor's still see a long road for Frank's recovery.
Soon Frank will be discharged to continue his recovery at home in the care of his family. Due to his physical limitations, Frank, his wife Lynell and son Cale will need to move into a different house to better accommodate Frank's recovery needs. Many changes will need to occur to make the home accessible.
Besides the home changes, Frank has medical bills and needs not covered by health insurance.
Please donate to this much needed cause. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
