Support Fredd a fired Trader Joe's labor organizer

An outspoken union organizer and advocate for his coworkers was fired last weekend. He was called homophobic slurs and threatened to be beaten up by another coworker. Instead of being protected for discrimination at work, he lost his job because the company values profit over human lives. The crew member who threatened Fredd is still working. Help us fundraise to support Fredd while we wait for legal action to ensue.
Our Trader Joe’s store recently experienced intense union-busting which resulted in a tied election; retaliation has amplified these past few months where this is the second queer, black pro-union worker to be fired recently. They are taking out much of the retaliation on black, queer crew members: firing them unfairly and villainizing them for speaking up on behalf of workers’ rights.
We stand with Fredd and all workers under attack right now. “An injury to one is an injury to all,” while most of us do not have the means to support Fredd right now, we are reaching out to our communities and networks for support in an unjust system keeping workers in poverty and managers in power.
