New Marigold School: free and non-violent education in Nepal

Follow me on my journey to Chiti, Nepal, where I will be volunteering at New Marigold School, dedicated to fostering free and non-violent education.
In 2015, local visionary and school principal, Shamser, opened Nepal’s first free non-violent school, igniting a movement to transform education for children across the country.
Since then, Shamser has tirelessly led the operation of 4 schools across the district, reaching over 400 students aged 3 to 14.
His mission is clear:
To provide free, non-violent, and accessible education to every child in Nepal - regardless of their background, income, or disability.
Supported by a passionate community of teachers, locals, and volunteers, Shamser is creating a safe and nurturing environment where children are inspired to learn, play, and grow.
Opened in 2022, New Marigold School represents Shamser's latest venture and is in need of your help to flourish!
Your donations will directly contribute towards:
- Essential school supplies and meals (uniforms, books, stationery, etc.)
- Building materials to enhance the school facilities
- Fair salaries for the dedicated teachers
Moreover, your generosity will not only enhance the school but also uplift the local economy by sourcing materials from local shops.
