The founder and author of the satirical publication Takoma Torch, Eric Saul, was recently issued a Peace Order (similar to a restraining order) in the middle of the night and charged with criminal harassment for simply engaging in First Amendment activities.
This aggression will not stand! (Lebowski reference intended)
We’re asking you to financially support Eric’s legal fund. We’ve all read and enjoyed The Torch these past years free of charge, so the least we can do is support free speech now so we can continue to be entertained for years to come. Eric literally gave a kidney to someone who needed it. Let’s get him some cash.
If the funds raised exceed the already discounted legal fees, the rest of the money will go to a DC area domestic violence non-profit.
