Support Fund for David Phenix and the Phenix Family

My name is Alexandra Hammock, and my family and I went to church with the Phenixes almost my entire childhood. They are a precious and sweet family, and I am heartbroken for them and the entire Apalachee High School family.

This narrative is paraphrased based on Facebook updates from his daughter, Katie.

Mr. David is one of the survivors of the school shooting at Apalachee High School this week. Mr. David was shot protecting his students with Ricky Aspinwall, one of the teachers/coaches who sadly did not survive. They were together when Ricky was shot and killed. Mr. David was shot twice, once in his hip and once through his foot. He has had two successful surgeries so far and has been stable. He is expected to spend at least one more day in the ICU and is projected to not need any more surgeries! He has begun physical therapy.

I ask you to help us support the Phenix family as they continue the healing process.

This will be a long road, and through this fund, hopefully we can alleviate one of the burdens they will face in the coming days, weeks and months.

These funds will be transferred directly to the Phenix family.
