Support fund surroundng the loss of Greg Levenson

Brothers and Sisters,

It brings me great sadness to announce the passing of beloved Husband, Father, Friend and Union Brother, Greg Levenson. Brother Levenson was taken from us way too soon and his passing is nothing short of tragic.

Brother Levenson was a veteran who bravely served in the U.S. Navy, something that he was extremely proud of. He was a true leader not just in title but in actions. Greg was always honest even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and was an amazing union brother to his Local (71 Miami) and the International. Brother Levenson served the I.U.E.C at the Local level as a route mechanic, followed by many years serving as a Business Agent, eventually becoming the Business Manager, before recently moving into a position with the International. He was simply a man that lived to serve for the better good.

Despite his lengthy resume, Greg would tell you that his number one purpose in life was being a husband to his awesome wife Liz, and a father to their amazing daughter Abby. Although this time brings different emotions to all of us, I feel that it is our responsibility to look toward the future of Brother Levenson’s family and ensure their ability to grieve without worrying about the financial hardships that losing a loved one can often bring.

I know that in life, Brother Levenson’s only worry was about the well-being of his family and I want us to come together as family, friends, Union brothers and sisters, to make sure that Greg’s goal in life is continuing to be achieved after his passing. I ask that anyone who is able to, please donate to this fund so that we can pass the funds along to his wife Liz and she in turn can create a college fund for Abby.

Greg has done so much for so long. I’m sure everyone who is reading this has been directly or indirectly touched by Greg at some point in their life and now is our turn to pay it forward for all the wonderful things Greg has done for us not only on a professional level but a personal level as well.
