Support Future Education for Young Heroes

Dear Friends and Community Members,

Today, I am reaching out to share a remarkable story of bravery and kindness demonstrated by two young members of the Billings community, Thomas and Aaron Waldo. Their quick thinking and selfless actions not only saved a life but also served as a shining example of heroism in our community.

A Life-Saving Morning:

A few weeks ago, an unfortunate accident occurred in their neighborhood. A man, while walking his dog early in the morning, slipped on ice, resulting in a severe injury — a broken femur and broken hip. Unable to move and in excruciating pain, he tried desperately to get the attention of passersby for help, but to no avail.

Enter our young heroes, Thomas and Aaron. While on their way to Medicine Crow Middle School, they heard the man’s calls for help. Without hesitation, they rushed to his aid. Demonstrating maturity beyond their years, they retrieved the man’s phone from his house, enabling him to call 911. They also ensured his dog was safe, an act of kindness that didn’t go unnoticed.

The Critical Difference:

Paramedics later noted that the man was nearing hypothermia. If not for Thomas and Aaron’s timely intervention, the situation could have had a tragic outcome. Their actions truly made a lifesaving difference.

Recognizing Heroism:

The boys were rightly celebrated at a school assembly, receiving the HERO (Helping and Engaging in the Right Opportunities) Award from School Resource Officer Vickery. Their bravery and quick action exemplify the values we cherish in our community.

Our Goal:

To honor Thomas and Aaron’s heroism, we are launching a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for their future education. We believe in encouraging and supporting young individuals who show such remarkable character. Our goal is to provide them with a college scholarship that acknowledges their bravery and invests in their bright future.

Additionally, we aim to give them a special reward for their life-saving actions, a token of our community’s appreciation and pride.
