Support Gamers HQ - Rebuild & Covid-19

Hi there GHQ friends, family, and loved supporters of Video Gaming!


We hope during this time everyone is able to take precautions to protect yourselves, and your family. Coronavirus has affected every one of us, and as a small business we have definitely felt the effects. Not long ago it felt impossible to shut down for longer than a day, let alone going on a full month, with an extension till the end of April, and the unknown past that. 


We were really looking forward to this Spring! Winter is always our slow season, and when we do a lot of event planning for the year. We were starting the Spring with double the Overnighter Events, Warren Township & other local Schools and Teams/Clubs having a membership for weekly use, Rhythm Games Events, a Lake County Gaming Event, & more. The plans for all of these have crumbled, having to refund major investments and still pay out the people that worked with us to make these possible, have left us with no savings to fall back on.  

We have been following all of the Small Business Loans and applied for many of them, but have so far been denied all of them, or have been asked to continuously reapply due the large intake of applications. So far though, it's been hard to get good support to not fall behind greatly. 
Each month we are unable to do business, we will accumulate over 5 grand of debt from rent and bills that cannot be cancelled due to contracts or a continued need (Internet, Electricity/Water, Security). This does not account any personal bills for our family, and is only how GHQ will be affected. 

While we were worried about all this, last week a neighboring business owner drove their car through GHQ. Then in a panic, reversed out as fast as possible, doing more damage on the way out. We are very grateful that she walked away uninjured, and has chosen to retire. 

This devastation has left us feeling more lost than ever. At the start of closing, we made the decision one of the few bills we could put on hold was our business insurance (as they were not offering help during Coronavirus & there was little liability without customers inside). The drivers insurance will help cover some of the damage (up to 20k) but due to how much foundation damage there was, most will go to the landlord who has estimated over 20k of damage on her side, and about 15k of damage on our end. 

We are determined to get back up and running, and we're looking at being able to open back up in May (If all goes well), and contractors are already planning out the rebuilding so that shortly after we can get to work on the inside repairs as well. We truly love what we do and cannot wait to get back at it.
We cannot thank those enough who have reached out with support, love, encouragement and offers of help in all ways. We wanted an opportunity to open up to everyone at once about our hardships.
