Support Ganiou Gandonou's family

Disclaimer: it has been brought to my attention that there is another gofundme campaign set up to help Latifatou and Ryan :) You can find that one here: https://www.gofundme.com/6yom2i8 I will keep this one open because it is already linked to Latifatou's bank account and she has direct access to those funds and I don't want to discourage anyone from giving as soon as they come across Ganiou's story. Rest assured these are both set up with Latifatou's consent and she will receive your donation. Hopefully this clears up any confusion. We all appreciate each and everyone of you for taking the time to read, share, and contribute
On the evening of March 2, 2019 the world lost a special human being. A father, a friend, and incredibly driven human simply looking to create better circumstances for his family.
His name was Ganiou Gandonou, and he will not be forgotten.
Details are still developing, but you can read more about what happened in several outlets:

https://nypost.com/2019/03/03/bronx-uber-drivers-devastated-widow-recalls-their-final-conversation/
Essentially, Ganiou worked his way up since immigrating to the United States in 2015. He was working as a livery driver, and also used apps such as Uber to transport passengers. He was stabbed to death last night.
He leaves behind his wife Latifatou and two year old son, Ryan.
This senseless violence abruptly ended the life of a man determined to do nothing more than to help his family.
The coming months will naturally incur many expenses for his family. It is with a somber heart that we invite you to honor Ganiou's legacy by making a contribution that will help facilitate his dream of creating a better world for his family. These funds will be given directly to Ganiou's wife and son.
This gofundme has been created by Ganiou's friends—many of us have not been able to sleep since last night event's but we want to ensure that something beautiful can come from Ganiou's legacy. We will update this post as soon as more details come to light. For now, we will share amongst ourselves and allow Latifatou to properly mourn. We kindly encourage you to share this campaign, comment, or message us with love to spread so we can ensure Ganiou's family can continue to prosper.
