Support Garet's Fight Against Sarcoma
Donation protected
We are reaching out to friends, family, and kindhearted strangers in the hope that we can come together to support Garet's fight against cancer.
The start of 2025 came with shocking and devastating news as we found out that Garet has been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive soft tissue sarcoma with a high likelihood of reoccurrence. Over the course of more than 15 months with relentless problem-solving, what began as a mass in his right leg quickly progressed into a high-grade sarcoma, where we were met with a series of unsuccessful interventions and prolonged periods of frustrating delays. Eventually, imaging revealed the cause of his symptoms, leading to a diagnosis no one could have ever anticipated.
The next steps for Garet include surgical intervention to amputate his right leg in the coming weeks, which will come with mounting medical costs on his long road towards rehabilitation.
While we are doing everything we can to stay positive and keep his spirits strong, the financial strain of medical bills, hospital stays, traveling to receive care, and the need for time away from work to focus on recovery inevitably becomes overwhelming.
Of course, Garet never imagined having to be in a position where he would need to ask for help, but we know sometimes it's okay to lean on others when life takes an unexpected turn. Your generous contributions will help cover the direct costs of his treatment. We are hoping to keep Garet and our family focused on healing and staying strong without any worry of how to make ends meet as he is the sole provider for our family.
Garet is deeply humbled by the support he has already received from friends and family, and it means the world to us to know that so many people are sending their love, prayers, and positive thoughts. If you are able to contribute, whether big or small, it will make a world of difference. If you are unable to donate at this time, simply sharing this page and keeping Garet and our family in your thoughts is appreciated more than words can express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of this journey. We know that Garet can face this challenge head-on, and together, we will get him through this!
We will continue to update this page with any new developments.
