Support Garrison Teachers

I'm Brigham Kiplinger, proud parent and principal at Garrison Elementary School, which serves the Logan Circle, U Street, and Shaw neighborhoods of Washington, DC. Garrison is a diverse Title 1 school with more than half of our students from low-income families.

 

We learned so much in 2020 about how to support joyful learning, even in the midst of a pandemic, and we're so grateful to have all our Wildcats back in-person as we kick off the 2021-22 school year. But as we welcome everyone back, we are also learning how to best support students who experienced such loss and interruption in their lives at school and, in too many cases, at home.

 

To support our incredible staff, we're looking to the Garrison community to help us raise $15,000 to provide our teachers with extra skills, training, and materials to meet our community's needs during an extraordinary year.

 

These funds will ensure that every Wildcat teacher feels equipped to do their work and every Wildcat student has access to a rich learning experience that meets their unique needs.
