Support Gavin, Camden and Baby Aubrie After Tragic Loss

Hello, my name is Alyssa Nault, and if you are reading this story, thank you so much for taking the time to do so. Our family has just experienced an unimaginable tragic loss and beautiful new birth last Thursday. We are all doing our best to lean on each other and stay strong currently for our brand-new beautiful baby girl, Aubrie Janette Nault.

On September 10th, 2024, My brother, Gavin Nault and his wife Ashley Nault, who was 41 and ½ weeks pregnant with Aubrie, went to the hospital to be induced. This was supposed to be one of the best days of their lives.

Ashley was just an amazing woman all around and, in my opinion, Gavin was the luckiest man in the world to have her. She had an infectious smile, was always laughing and loving life. Ashley came into our lives about 6 years ago and instantly felt like family. She loved and helped raise her stepson Camden as her own, and always talked about how she wanted a little girl of her own, it was her dream. I remember having a conversation with her years ago and she already had a name picked out for her. When she told us she was pregnant, this whole family was over the moon happy for Gavin and Ashley, this woman deserved the world, and she never got to lay eyes on her sweet baby girl.

Ashley was 32 years old and healthy with no prior health concerns and was gradually progressing in labor like any normal pregnancy when she was admitted in the hospital. On Thursday, September 12th at around 12:50pm, she was about 5 cm dilated. Gavin and family were going to give Ashley some privacy as the nurse came in. Gavin took the elevator downstairs and just a few minutes later heard Code Blue over the intercom along with her room number. Gavin’s heart was racing as he did not know if he had heard it right as he witnessed the whole hospital staff rushing upstairs. He then tried to call Ashley as she had just had her phone in her hand, but she did not answer. Gavin did everything in his power to get back to the room as quickly as possible, but the elevators were filled with staff rushing to the room with crash carts and medical supplies, and the stairway was locked at the second floor. Once Gavin was able to get to the room about 5 minutes later, he witnessed nurses rushing out of the room with his new baby girl and an absolutely horrific scene behind them. Ashley had been given an emergency C-section. Multiple staff members, both doctors and nurses were taking life saving measures to try and revive Ashley. Gavin was able to squeeze between the many nurses and doctors to hold his wife’s hand while he prayed she would come back. Gavin begged them to keep trying, and they proceeded to try and get Ashley’s heart to start again for an hour and a half. Sadly, Ashley ended up passing away without being able to meet or hold baby Aubrie.
We are still not exactly sure what happened to her and still waiting for definitive answers from the hospital.

Gavin brought his new healthy baby girl home yesterday, September 15th and is now going to be raising this little girl with a single income and unable to work the normal overtime he planned on working to provide for his family. He will have funeral expenses and unforeseen childcare expenses.

I am asking that if you can donate anything, every penny will go to Gavin and this new baby. He needs any help he can get, and it would be so greatly appreciated. If you are unable to contribute at this time, I just ask that you please share this with your friends and family, and that would mean everything to us as well.
