The Educational Tents Project in Gaza – Led by the Rowad Al-Amal team

Objective:

Providing children in Gaza with a safe space for learning and joy, away from the hardships of war and displacement, amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Overview:

The project serves 2,000 students across all age groups in four educational tents in southern Gaza:

• Three tents in Deir Al-Balah.

• One tent in Al-Bureij Refugee Camp.

Run by 23 teachers, the initiative relies on GoFundMe donations to:

1. Pay teachers’ salaries.

2. Provide school supplies for 2,000 students.

3. Set up more tents to support additional children.

About Rowad Al-Amal:

Founded in 2018 and based in Al-Bureij Camp in central Gaza, the Rowad Al-Amal Center for Education and Training is a youth-led initiative dedicated to providing educational services to the Palestinian community. It is officially registered under National ID Number 35811067. For years, the centre has supported students across the region, and its commitment has only grown stronger through the Educational Tent Project during these challenging times.

Once a month the money from here will be transferred over to the educational tents project founder, Shaker. I’ve had the honor of being able to meet the amazing founder and some of the teachers via zoom calls, they need the worlds help to continue providing not only education but also a distraction from the horrors these innocent children face every day.
