A Mother’s Plea – Support Gelis After ICE Took Her Son:

My name is Gelis, and I am reaching out in deep pain and desperation.

On the morning of Tuesday, February 4th, my son—a young, hardworking barber—was taken from us by ICE agents right outside our home in Waltham. They waited for him in the parking lot and detained him at 6 AM, in broad daylight, tearing him away from the family that loves him dearly.

This separation has devastated us. My son was not only my heart but also a pillar of our family. Without him, we are struggling to keep up with rent and basic necessities. The fear and uncertainty we face every day are unbearable.

No mother should have to feel this pain, to see her son unjustly taken. I am afraid I will never see him again.
