Donation protected
Gentry Youse passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the vibrant age of 70.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Gentry were well aware of his profound passion for music. He cherished all genres, but his heart truly belonged to live local performances. Gentry dedicated countless hours to practicing, playing, and performing with various local bands throughout the Hannibal area.
Among the many gigs he cherished, Music Under the Stars in Downtown Hannibal stood out as one of his favorites. Gentry reveled in the joy of bringing people together to enjoy live music in his beloved hometown.
To honor Gentry’s legacy and his dedication to the local music scene, his family is establishing an endowment to support Music Under the Stars. This endowment aims to sustain and enrich the local music community for years to come. In celebrating Gentry’s life and his commitment to nurturing local talent, we invite you to contribute to this fund. Our goal is to raise $20,000, which will enable an ongoing annual donation of $1,000 to Music Under the Stars, sponsored by the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum Foundation.
