Support George's ICU and Rehab Journey

Hi, this is my dad, George. A little background on my dad: he is 53 and an ex-Marine. He is a father to me, my brother, and my sister. He is a grandpa to 2 grandsons and a granddaughter.

My dad has been held in the ICU for over a month now with heart issues. On January 31, 2025, my dad went to the VA hospital thinking he was just having shoulder issues, but things changed very fast. When he was there, his heart rate was almost at 200, and they had to shock his heart to bring his heart rate down. After that, everything seemed fine. When they were transporting him to Mercy to do some scans on his heart, he went into cardiac arrest and flatlined, and they had to do CPR for 10-15 minutes. Ever since the 31st of January, he’s been in the ICU fighting for his life.

My family and I have decided to make this account on GoFundMe to raise money for expenses related to the ICU stay and he is about to go to rehab which is 3 hours away, and with my dad being in the hospital, my mom has not been able to be paid from work.
