Support Georgia's Arizona Trail FKT Attempt!

Hi, I'm Georgia and I'm fundraising for an Arizona Trail FKT attempt! The Arizona Trail is an 800 mile trail stretching from the Utah border to the Mexico border. The trail traverses some of the most iconic places in Arizona including the Grand Canyon, the San Francisco Peaks, the Four Peaks Wilderness, the Superstitions, Mount Lemmon, and much more. An FKT is the "Fastest Known Time" or the fastest recorded time on a particular trail. I'll be attempting the supported FKT record.
I live in Flagstaff, Arizona where I'm fortunate enough to train for trail ultra marathons. I competed in road half and full marathons for several years where I qualified for and ran the Olympic Marathon Trials in 2020. I made the switch to competitive trail ultra marathons in 2022 and I currently specialize in the 100k - 100 mile distance. I love being outside and have dreamed of tackling a longer trail project. I'll be making that dream a reality this fall! I'm drawn to the Arizona Trail because of its beauty and rich history. And I hope to showcase this beauty and inspire others to chase big goals and to go play outside. Longer trail races and projects are often male-dominated. I'm seeking to shake up this narrative and promote and inspire female-bodied athletes to go out and do big things. I'm planning to attempt to run the female FKT which is currently set at 17 days 11 hours by Helen Galerakis.
This is a big project!! There's a lot of planning, logistics, and work going into pulling this off and we're building an amazing community. And if you're looking for a way to support, I'd love to have your help reaching my budget goal. The funds we raise will go towards gear, nutrition, fuel, and Airbnb rentals. Any funds raised that aren't used for the project will be donated to the Arizona Trail Association.
Thank you so much for your support!!
