Support Gina Flores' Medical Recovery

Gina Flores has been feeding the Colony residents for many years; she has come to love many people in the Colony, and we have come to love her. She is a cheerful and loving soul who goes out of her way to see us every week. Now, she's sick and she needs our help.

Many of you may know that she was admitted to the hospital more than three weeks ago, and her condition is still unstable. Her kidneys are still not fully functioning, and the doctors are trying to delay dialysis. She may need a blood transfusion because the doctors have still been unable to determine where she is bleeding. She's anemic and having three IVs per week. She's allergic to every antibiotic they try on her, and they found they injured her kidney during that surgery she had in February, so she and Ray have been battling a mountain of issues.

Ray said there are many expenses that Medicare won't cover. A home health nurse is paid for, but specialty items, foods, and over-the-counter items are running up debt. Also, she is not working, which is putting them far behind on expenses. Ray could not give me an exact amount, and he said that anything at all would be a blessing.
