It saddens me to report Butch lost his battle for recovery this morning.

Gina by his side, he passed peacefully at 6:50 this morning, Wednesday, May 8th.

Hello, we are friends of Gina (Orr) Foraker and truly appreciate you taking a moment to read her story.

May 1st, 2024, Gina was on her annual girl’s trip in Destin Florida with her 1982 high school girlfriends when she received the devastating news her husband, Butch had been in a horrific tractor accident.

We were able to get Gina to Grady Hospital burn unit in Atlanta, GA to learn Butch was ventilated and would not survive the accident unless both of his legs were amputated. Butch’s first surgery was Friday, May 3rd. His 2nd surgery will be scheduled in the next couple of days.

His doctors say this will be a very long road to recovery, resulting in a lengthy hospital stay for at least a month or more. Intense physical therapy will follow.

We are asking family, friends, and the community to assist where they can. At this time Gina will be unable to work as she will be focused on Butch’s needs and recovery. Any money donated will assist Gina with food, gas, and essentials she will need as she travels to and from the hospital daily. Any amount you are willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you can’t contribute at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well.
