Support Gio's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
To those of you who know and love Gio, you understand how incredibly emotional and overwhelming this is for our family to share. On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in the early evening, Gio was driving back to Kent from North Ridgeville when he was struck by an impaired driver. He was taken to Metro Hospital’s trauma center in critical condition, subsequently diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.
Today, we are overjoyed to report that Gio not only survived this devastating accident, but that he’s making slow and steady progress. We are so thankful to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Metro, along with the guardian angels who are watching over Gio, and the countless number of loved ones who have reached out with kind messages and meals, visited the hospital, and so much more.
While doctors are hopeful Gio will recover, there is quite a long road ahead. He will need to undergo cognitive, physical, and speech therapies, among other treatments. By making a donation, you’ll help our family cover the immense medical costs, as well as help Gio get back to the fun-loving, kind 21-year old we all love so much.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
