Support Go Play - Retro Arcade

Almost 6 years ago my husband and I opened our dream arcade. The very first day that we opened a young man, Todd Demott, came in and said this was his dream. He wanted to own an arcade on Main St. in Belmar.  We had beat him to it! Over the years Todd became a close friend. It made us so happy when we decided to sell it that Todd and his wife, Sara, would buy it. We handed over the keys in February. After closing to renovate for two weeks they reopened and it looked better than ever! Two weeks later they were forced to close it due to COVID-19. We never thought that they would have to close for almost 4 months. Many parties had to be cancelled. All of our summer camp trips were cancelled. Everything we were so proud to hand over has taken a back seat this summer. Todd and Sara have applied for loans and grants but because they are new owners they cannot receive any funds. And then on July 3rd they became proud new parents of a beautiful baby boy.  I have told Todd that business will be back and they will see so many faces now that they are back open.
