Support Gracie's Journey to a Healthier Life

Hi, everyone, I'm Debbie Shawcross. I'm a senior citizen & I'm trying desperately to save my girl Gracie. Gracie is a Goldendoodle and at 9 years old she's full of life and deserves to live her life out healthy and happy. In July she had a very costly surgery for pyometra and had serious side effects including vomiting uncontrollably. After another costly visit to the vets, she was better for only a few days before the vomiting began again. I took her back and that was another bank breaking visit with xrays, testing, fluids, shots and meds to take at home. She has now been diagnosed with Megaesophagus. That's a condition where the esophagus is enlarged. food builds up in it and spills over as vomit. She needs a Bailey Chair. They're made custom to the dogs size and she will back into it and then a door shuts to keep her in. She will be standing up in the Bailey Chair while I feed her pureed food and thickened water staying there for 20-25 minutes while the force if gravity allows her food to drop into the stomach. This and medication will give her a normal life until she's actually old enough to pass on.
