Support Grandma Scott After Home Loss in LA Fires
Donation protected
This Go Fund Me account is being organized by the grandchildren of Virginia Scott, whose home, along with so many others in the Altadena community, were lost from the Eaton Canyon Fire. Everything she and her late husband owned was burned down & lost to the devastating fire just outside the city of Los Angeles on January 8th.
Virginia, a mother to 2, and grandmother to 6, has been an Altadena local since her youth. Serving as the matriarch of our family - she lived in her home which sat atop Fair Oaks Ave for 54 years. “Grandma & Grandpa’s House” was the cornerstone location to our family and the setting to countless birthdays, holidays and memories alike. As a long standing resident, she has also been an important part to the North Altadena community, as not many can say they drive up or down the hill without yelling “Hi Mrs. Scott” as she poured her heart into her community.
Our grandma was able to make it out safely and is currently residing in temporary housing. At the end of the day we are eternally grateful & blessed for that. She would never ask for help herself, but if you are in a position to contribute, I know she would be incredibly appreciative for the financial support not only for herself, but also her neighbors and her community.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to her or our family during this time. We are so very appreciative of the outpouring of love and support.
