Support Greg Walker Jr and sister in celebrating his life
Severe mental illness should not give a facility the right to "allegedly" neglect our loves ones.
As my brother's only sister, it is with intense heaviness in my heart to announce my baby brother, "Lil" Gregory Walker Jr., began his spiritual journey at the age of 34. His tragic and unexpected departure has taken a piece of our hearts with him.
His eternal journey began on July 17th, 2024, almost 5 years from our father, Greg Walker Sr's, departure on August 8th, 2019. As I just began to properly acknowledge and grieve the loss of my father in a healthy way, I was met with this tragedy. This loss has shaken my life in ways never expected.
His illness would not allow life insurance so my mother and I are the only ones providing any financial support. I am raising money to pay for my portion of the expenses related to his devastating passing. This includes his urns, obituaries, probate costs, possible attorney fees, and most importantly finally allowing for a much-deserved and proper celebration of life with family and friends. Any additional funds would go to support the advocacy of mental illness and the importance of proper mental health care.
Lil Greg, an adored and irreplaceable son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, and friend. He loved sports, reading the Bible, traveling, and meeting new people. His jokes and our amazing thought-provoking conversations will be missed.
He will be greatly missed, celebrated, and mourned as he embarked on his spiritual journey when called upon. May his mind finally be at peace and his spirit experience everything he didn't get to.
He was not his mental illness
I want to thank everyone for their kind words during such an overwhelming time for my mother and I. I would also like to thank anyone able to help. Your support means more than words can express.
