Support Gregg and Adrienne

Hey all, Brody and Riley Howe here. We are in the unfamiliar territory of reaching out on behalf of our parents, Gregg and Adrienne - two of the most giving, thoughtful humans in all of our lives. Heck, planet freakin' Earth.

Gregg and Adrienne have had an excruciatingly hard year. From medical emergencies to being on the wrong end of a theft, it has felt like a relentless barrage of ill fortune and crappy circumstances. Recently, things have gotten worse.

Adrienne's health has been precarious. She is currently in the midst of a difficult diagnosis and dealing with how to approach that in this terrifyingly underwhelming world of American healthcare. The direct costs of these circumstances are vast and currently unknown.

Gregg's truck and work trailer (with the vast majority of his tools) were stolen last weekend. We were lucky in that the truck was found with relatively minimal damage, but his trailer and tools are long gone. The direct cost of this means that Gregg will be out of work for too long while the magical world of insurance handles his claim and provides him the funds to get reequipped.

Couple that with Adrienne's health issues, and it's a genuine recipe for disaster.

If there is one thing we know to be true, it is that our parents have spent years giving to their community and helping others because it is simply the right, good thing to do. They are builders and supporters, and seek to unearth the goodness in everything and everyone at every turn. It is within that spirit that we ask for a donation to help them through this time.

We know we have set the bar high - that was intentional. This is a time of year that asking for money is hard, and that giving it may be even harder, so please know that when we extend a hand for help, it is not done without awareness and with an acknowledgement of the severity of the cause.
