Support Giant Puppet Performance this June!

Dear Friends,
With a humble heart I'm asking you to support bringing giant queer puppet spectacle to the streets of Brooklyn this pride month!
With your support, a community of 12 puppeteers will carry giant puppets crafted of plastic trash collected from New York waterways as part of The Brooklyn Pride Parade and The Mermaid Parade. What better way to respond to the climate crisis and it's impact on our oceans than parading giant puppets in public space?
Giant puppets include a hefty 16 foot Humpback Whale, three critically endangered Atlantic Sturgeons (migrating up the Hudson right now!), six androgynous Oysters, and a gorgeous Leatherback Turtle. Volunteers will be invited to join in by becoming a shimmering school of 250 plastic bottle fish.
Your support will cover the fees for the parade. Fees include hiring a driver, renting vehicles to transport puppets, registration fees and a humble honorarium for the incredible performers who will bring these puppets to life.
Come see your support in action during the Brooklyn Pride Parade on June 8th @ 7:30 and The Mermaid Parade on June 22 at 1pm! We will be parading with Fogo Azul, New York City’s premiere drumline, Brazilian Samba Reggae marching band and also members of The Stop Shopping Choir!
I am grateful for your support of radical environmental art in public space and your belief in planet over plastic!
With deep ocean love,
Greg
