Support Gretchen--Learn the Truth

Please consider helping Gretchen Marinopoulos and her family get to the truth.  In April of 2019 an email she wrote years earlier, prior to joining the school committee, to school staff about her child, was leaked to the local newspaper following a contentious budget vote.  Since that time the Marionopoulos have been trying to find out who shared personal information about their family.  They asked the School Committee for an investigation, which did occur, but details have never been released.  The first response without details absolved the schools of releasing that particular information to the Newspaper.

Continued attempts to find out what happened and who is responsible, if not the schools, have been met with delays and obstruction.  Now after 6 months the schools have sent a 3 page, single spaced, legal letter from the Mayor’s counsel letting the Marionopoulos family know they may have the report for the cost of $560.42, but it will be heavily redacted and essentially illegible.  She has already spent nearly $200 to meet their other requirement.  Tonight, at the monthly School Committee meeting she paid the additional $560 to get the report and take the next step towards getting answers.   Gretchen continues to ask…why all the secrecy?  If there is nothing to hide, the report should be released.  Please help Gretchen and her family get to the truth and offset some of these extraordinary costs.
