Support Gretel's Journey to a Veteran's Heart

My name is Amanda and rescued a pitbull stray in my area on March 18th. I have fostered her since that day. No microchip and unsuccessful finding her owner. I had her vaccinated and spayed along with an additional vet visit for an ear infection.

I have looked for rescues non stop and have yet to find one that will take her in as they are all full. I had to make a spreadsheet to eliminate duplicate calls and emails. It’s been a full time job! I have three rescues of my own plus a cat and it’s been a lot of work rotating them about and trying to give Gretel the same amount of attention that she so deserves.

I was referred to Working Dogs of Nevada Rescue. They take in large dogs. She will get approx three months of training. She will then be given free of charge to a Veteran in need of a companion.

the cost of this is 5800.00.

Working dogs is a non profit and they keep their cost down by taking check payments only.

Any help is appreciated. She has stolen my heart and I would love to make a Veteran happy!

She is one of the most friendly, goofy dogs! She loves company and strangers. Everyone that has met her instantly likes her.
