Support Hahns' Road to Recovery

We are the Reddy family, owners of Hahns, a 1.5-year-old mixed breed male dog. Hahns is the most affectionate, cuddly dog you will ever meet! He loves to play with our other dog, Stella. He is fantastic with our toddler! We welcomed him into our family 2 months ago, and he has been the best addition!

On Friday, June 28, Hahns was a victim of a hit-and-run. We rushed him to Quartet Animal Hospital in Cary, where they treated his road rash, gave him medicine to calm him down and address his pain, and diagnose other injuries. Hahns was diagnosed with a broken hip - the head of his femur completely broken off from the hip socket. He needed an FHO surgery, femoral head ostectomy, a surgical procedure that restores mobility and relieves pain by removing the femur head and giving him a fake one to reconnect the femur and hip joint.

Hahns had surgery on Friday, July 5. Altogether, we spent $6500 for his care from emergency diagnosis to surgery and medicine. We appreciate any financial support you can give! We just 6 months ago spent $7100 for our other dog, Stella, to have surgery on a herniated spinal disc. Thank you so much for your support!
