Support Haley's Education

Hello, my name is Haley and I was invited, applied, and was accepted into my college's study abroad program for this upcoming Fall 2024 semester! I will be studying at the University of Wollongong in Australia, and this semester will significantly aid in my education through both offered classes and educational experiences! I have two jobs that I work to pay for my college tuition. When I am not putting my paychecks into my tuition, I am saving it for an emergency or a special opportunity like my study abroad semester!

A couple of months ago, my father suffered a stroke on the right side of his brain while he was cooking dinner for himself. His house was quickly engulfed in flames with him and his dog, Dash, inside. Luckily, both are alive, but Dash has been misplaced due to a lack of housing options for him with my father in the hospital and my mother, sister, and I in a no-pets-allowed apartment. My father is still in the hospital, but he has finally reached a stable point in his recovery and has entered rehab after months in the ICU for his stroke and the 3rd degree burns that covered him from the fire.

Additionally, a few weeks ago, unfortunately, I was T-Boned in a Milford intersection and my car was totaled due to the high speed of the other driver; therefore, the money I saved to pay for my abroad tuition and surrounding costs had to be put toward financially aiding and supporting my father in his hospitalization and recovery, and a new vehicle so that I could attend and keep my two jobs for an income. I have worked extremely hard to achieve acceptance into my college's study abroad program and save the money necessary to attend. At this point in this school year's timeline, I can no longer cancel my abroad trip or register for classes at my home university, and I am going to have to get a job in Australia so that I can support myself for the five months I am allocated to live there.

I am currently struggling the most with attaining the funds needed for my plane ticket. I am quickly and closely approaching the deadline for ticket purchase and hate to ask others for help, but I am in need of help right now.
