Support Haley's Family After Tragic Fire
Donation protected
On Friday, September 13th, an electrical fire engulfed our home, with our beloved Haley Elizabeth Michelle trapped inside. Despite the heroic efforts of firefighters who pulled her from the flames, Haley had already been without oxygen for far too long. We are forever grateful to the brave firefighters, some of whom were injured in the rescue, and to the family members and neighbors who risked their own lives in a desperate attempt to save hers.
Haley was rushed to Providence Alaska Medical Center, where medical professionals fought tirelessly to bring her back. She was then life-flighted to Seattle, Washington's Harborview Burn ICU, but the damage was irreversible. We later learned that Haley went without oxygen for at least 20 minutes, and the scans confirmed what we feared most—her lungs had suffered catastrophic damage, and her brain was severely swollen. On the night of September 15th, 2024, surrounded by her loving parents and siblings, Haley took her final breath. Her spirit will live on in those who loved her most and in the lives she saved through organ donation.
Our hearts are broken, and we are currently in Seattle making arrangements to honor Haley's memory. As we grapple with this unimaginable loss, we ask for your thoughts, prayers, and support during this dark chapter of our lives.
The fire that took our precious Haley also destroyed our parents' home and all of their belongings, leaving them displaced and in need of urgent help. Please consider donating to the GoFundMe set up for our parents as we navigate this tragedy together if you can. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express.
We are deeply grateful for your love and support. Thank you for keeping Haley, our family, and the brave souls who tried to save her in your hearts.
